1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They make websites work, remember your preferences, and give website owners information about how their site is used. We also use similar technologies such as web beacons and pixel tags. When we say "cookies" in this policy, we mean all of these.
2. The cookies we use
We use three categories of cookies on this site. Apart from essential cookies, they only load if you consent. You can choose which categories to accept using our cookie banner, or update your choices at any time using the link at the bottom of this page.
Essential
Required for the site to work, for example to remember your cookie choice. They cannot be turned off. Legal basis (EU/UK): strictly necessary / legitimate interests.

Analytics
Help us understand how visitors use the site, for example how many people visit and which pages they use. They use cookie identifiers rather than your name or contact details. Identifiers can still be personal data in some countries, so we treat them as such. Legal basis (EU/UK): consent.

Advertising
Used to measure whether our ads lead people to visit our site or install the App. They record that you saw or clicked an ad and what you did next. Legal basis (EU/UK): consent. Off by default.

3. Advertising and measurement
We advertise Wenya on platforms such as Apple, Meta, TikTok and Google. If you accept advertising cookies, these platforms receive cookie or device identifiers and information about your visit, such as which page you viewed, so they can tell us how our ads perform. The platforms use that data under their own privacy policies, and we recommend you read them.
Apple Ads does not use cookies on our website. It measures app installs inside the App using Apple's own frameworks, and gives us campaign-level information only.
We do not use cookies to access your messages, calendar or contacts, and we do not sell personal data. More detail is in Section 4 of our Privacy Notice.
4. Managing your preferences
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you reject all non-essential cookies, accept all, or customise your choices. Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and non-essential categories are off until you turn them on. Your choice is saved for six months. You can change your mind at any time by clicking "Update my cookie preferences" in the footer of this page.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies, though blocking all cookies will affect how the site works.
Google Analytics opt-out. If you later want to opt out of Google Analytics specifically, you can install the opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. For more on how Google uses data, see policies.google.com/privacy.
Ad settings. You can also manage ad personalisation in your own Meta, TikTok and Google account settings.
5. Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat your visit as a rejection of all non-essential cookies, and no analytics or advertising cookies will load. We honour GPC as required under applicable US state privacy laws.
6. Do Not Track
Our site does not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals, because there is no uniform standard for them. This is consistent with Section 15 of our Privacy Notice. We respond to GPC signals instead.
7. International transfers
Some of our analytics and advertising providers are based in the United States or elsewhere outside your country, so cookie data may be transferred internationally. We rely on the safeguards described in Section 8 of our Privacy Notice.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, show a notice on the cookie banner so you can review and re-confirm your choices.
